MAXimus.
Our vet lovingly joked that we should have named him minimus![]()
My sweet husband was away on business in Costa Rica and the kids had been BEGGING (almost groveling at my feet) for weeks for a furry friend.
After some research we picked up THREE guinea pigs. The kids were happy and so was I…
but soon we all started itching and sneezing.
We were miserable.
So back our three friends went to the pest store.
Now what?
The little ones were sad and I appeared to have been crying for days (nope. just bloodshot eyes from our three GP’s).
BTW. That’s an awesome look to have while shooting a wedding. Yikes. Thank you Visine.
When the hubbs returned home we had a SERIOUS talk about what to do next.
[I'm pretty sure the kids were eavesdropping on the other side of the door.]
We decided to go LOOK at the animal shelter.
[are you smiling yet? I think you know where this story is going
]
We met Max in a small room surrounded by his 6 siblings.
When all the other pups were going NUTS (all I could hear was “save me, save me!!)
our sweet Max was quiet and shivering.
My husband pointed to him and said, “that’s the one.”
ummm….what?!
I thought we were just coming to look. We don’t have anything for him yet.
He said “We can’t just leave him here like this.”
[love my man]
So we brought him home, washed him up, grabbed the camera
and
this is was I saw staring back at me.
